WHAT INFORMATION IS COLLECTED AND HOW WE CAN USE IT

TYPES OF INFORMATION COLLECTED

In order to provide our services to you, we will ask you to provide personal information that is necessary to provide those services to you. If you do not provide your personal information, we may not be able to provide you with our products or services.

We will only collect the information that is necessary for its specified, explicit and legitimate purposes and not further processed in a manner that is incompatible with those purposes. We may collect the following types of information (which may or may not be personal information):

Mi account information: We will collect information related to your Mi account, including your nickname, profile picture, email address, and information about device sharing.
Device information: We will collect information about your device, including the name, installation location (e.g., living room), battery level, operation status, and firmware version of your device.
Network information: We may collect network-related information when your device is connected to a network. This includes current Wi-Fi connection mode (LAN or remote), IP address, the name of the connected Wi-Fi network, Wi-Fi signal strength (i.e., RSSI) and MAC address of the device.
Device location information: We will collect information about your settings for time zone, voice alert sound volume, Do not disturb (DND) on/off.
Information about consumables: We may collect information related to consumables, including usage time and remaining life of consumables.
House floor map : We will collect information about the floor map generated by the device after each cleaning, and information about the zone coverage and zone name, restricted areas (areas not allowed for cleaning) and virtual walls (locations where the device cannot go through) you have set when editing the area.
Information about ceiling features: We will collect information about ceiling and significant objects (suspended ceilings and lightings) on it. Such information will only be used on local device and will not be uploaded to our server.
Cleaning information: We will collect information about the cleaning path, zone, mode, time, duration, and coverage.
Information about cleaning record: We will collect information about cleaning statistics, including the accumulated cleaning duration and coverage, as well as the total number of cleans.
Error information: We will collect information about the code, type and time of device errors.
Information about scheduled task: We will collect information about the scheduled task on your device, including the start time, repetition rules, cleaning mode and zone cleaned in scheduled tasks.
Feedback: We will collect feedback, contact information and error log you provide us.

During cleaning, the camera on the device will take photos of objects on the ceiling to extract feature information (i.e., dots, lines and other geometric features) to determine the position of device relative to the objects. The device can learn about its position and create a cleaning path and an outline map after continuously computing its position relative to the objects. The device will take 10 photos every second and extract the feature information within milliseconds on the local device. The photos may include people portraits and will be erased immediately once processed. We fully understand the importance of your privacy. Please rest assured that these photos will not be stored on the local device or uploaded to a server. The photos are for positioning only and will not be used for any other purposes. In some jurisdiction, under certain circumstances you may be deemed as a data controller regarding the photos taken, and may be obligated to comply with the local data protection laws.

HOW THE PERSONAL INFORMATION IS USED

Personal information is collected for providing services and / or products to you, and legal compliance on our part under applicable laws. You hereby consent that we may process and disclose personal information to our affiliated companies, Third Party Service Providers (defined below) for the purposes stated in this Privacy Policy.

We may use your personal information for the following purposes:

Providing, processing, maintaining, improving and developing our goods and/or services to you, including after-sales and customer support and for services on your device or through our websites.
Communicating with you about your device, service or any general queries, such as updates, customer inquiry support, information about our events, notices.
Storing and maintaining information related to you for us to operate business or perform legal obligations

Here are more details on how we use your information (which may include personal information):

To perform cleaning: We will collect information about your house floor map and the settings for the zone to be cleaned, vacuuming power level, water volume, and sweep method to clean designated areas using customized modes, power and water levels. We will also collect information about scheduled cleaning and about whether DND is on/off, in order to do specific cleaning tasks or not to do cleaning tasks during specified time periods;
To position device: Your device needs to know its position in the house in order to create accurate cleaning paths and avoid omission or repetitive cleaning. We will extract feature information from photos taken by the camera on the device to position the device;
To remind you about charging: We will collect information about the device's battery level, so that the device will automatically return to the dock for charging when cleaning has been completed, or remind you to charge the device when the battery level drops below 15%;
To show cleaning records: We will collect the cleaning process records to display usage records and to help you learn about the area, duration, zone of each cleaning task, as well as the accumulated time and area, and the total number of clean-ups;
To show filter life: We will collect information about the usage time and remaining life of filter in order to show you the usage status of filter, so you can replace it at proper time;
To troubleshoot and repair: We will collect basic device information and information about error codes and failure status, in order to notify you of errors and error types and to help with follow-up repair;
To collect user feedback: The feedback you provide is extremely valuable in helping us improve our services. In order to follow up on the feedback you have chosen to provide, Dreame Technology may correspond with you using the personal information that you have provided and keep records;
To send push notification: We may use your personal information to send you important notifications from time to time, for example, notifications about completed cleaning task, device error, etc.

DIRECT MARKETING

We may use your Xiaomi Account to provide marketing materials to you relating to goods and services of Dreame Technology companies and our business partners which offer network, mobile applications and cloud products and services. We will only so use your personal data after we obtain your prior explicit consent and involve a clear affirmative action or indication of no objection in accordance with local data protection laws, which may require separate explicit consent. You have the right to opt out of our proposed use of your personal data for direct marketing. If you no longer wish to receive certain types of email communications you may opt-out by following the unsubscribe link located at the bottom of each communication or by emailing us at privacy@dreame.tech. We will not transfer your personal data to our business partners for use by our business partners in direct marketing.

COOKIES AND OTHER TECHNOLOGIES (ONLY WHEN BROWSING http://dreame.tech)

• What type of information is collected and how is it used? Technologies such as cookies, tags, and scripts are used by Dreame Technology and our Third Party Service Providers. These technologies are used in analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users' movements around the website and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. We may receive reports based on the use of these technologies by these companies on an individual as well as aggregated basis. Rest assured, the data will only be used for the purpose of optimizing user experience of our site.

• Log Files: Like most websites, we collect specific information and store it in the log files. This information may include Internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and/or clickstream data. We do not link this automatically collected data to other information we gather about you.

• Advertising: We partner with our Third Party Service Providers to either display advertising on our website or to manage our advertising on other sites. Our Third Party Service Provider may use technologies such as cookies to gather information about your activities on this site and other sites in order to provide you advertising based upon your browsing activities and interests. • Local Storage – HTML5/Flash: We use Local Storage Objects (LSOs) such as HTML5 or Flash to store content and preferences. Third parties with whom we partner to provide certain features on our Sites or to display advertising based upon your web browsing activity also use HTML5 or Flash cookies to collect and store information. Various browsers may offer their own management tool for removing HTML5 LSOs.

We do not sell any personal information to third parties.

SHARING WITH OUR GROUP AND THIRD PARTY SERVICE PROVIDERS

In order to conduct business operations smoothly in providing you with the full capabilities of our products and services, we may disclose your personal information from time to time to other Dreame Technology affiliated companies, or our third party service providers which are our mailing houses, delivery service providers, telecommunications companies, data centers, data storage facilities, customer service providers, advertising and marketing service providers, and Dreame Technology's representatives. SHARING WITH XIAOMI GROUP'S ECOSYSTEM COMPANIES

Dreame Technology works together with a cool group of companies, which together form the Mi Ecosystem. The Mi Ecosystem companies are independent entities, invested and incubated by Xiaomi, and are experts in their fields. Dreame Technology may disclose your personal data to Xiaomi or other Mi Ecosystem companies so as to provide you with and improve the exciting products and services (both hardware and software) from the Mi Ecosystem. Some of these products and services will still be under Xiaomi / Mijia / Mitu brands , while others may use their own brand. Dreame Technology will take appropriate organizational and technical measures to ensure the security of personal data during the process of sharing of information, including but not limited to the encryption of your personal data. If Dreame Technology is involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale of all or a portion of our assets, you will be notified via email and/or a prominent notice on our website, of any changes in ownership, uses of your personal information, and choices you may have regarding your personal information.

We are committed to ensuring that your personal information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure or other similar risks, we have put in place reasonable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect from your using of Dreame Technology products and services and on Dreame Technology websites. We will use all reasonable efforts to safeguard your personal information.

All your personal information is stored on secure servers that are protected in controlled facilities. We classify your data based on importance and sensitivity, and ensure that your personal information has the highest security level. We make sure that our employees and Third Party Service Providers who access the information to help provide you with our products and services are subject to strict contractual confidentiality obligations and may be disciplined or terminated if they fail to meet such obligations. We have special access controls for cloud based data storage as well. All in all, we regularly review our information collection, storage and processing practices, including physical security measures, to guard against any unauthorized access and use.

Dreame Technology cannot be held responsible for lapses in security caused by third party accesses to your personal information as a result of your failure to keep your personal information private. Notwithstanding the foregoing, you must notify us immediately if there is any unauthorized use of your account by any other Internet user or any other breach of security.

RETENTION POLICY

Personal information will be held for as long as it is necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected, or as required or permitted by applicable laws. We shall cease to retain personal information, or remove the means by which the personal information can be associated with particular individuals, as soon as it is reasonable to assume that the purpose for which that personal information was collected is no longer being served by retention of the personal information.If further processing is for archiving purposes in the public interest, scientific or historical research purposes or statistical purposes according to the applicable laws, the data can be further retained by Dreame Technology even if the further processing is incompatible with original purposes.

All the personal information on the device will be erased when you reset your device to factory default settings. To implement a hard-reset function,long press the reset key for 5 seconds, until you hear the sound "Restoring to factory settings", factory settings are restored successfully. Beware that hard-reset can't be undone, so you have to make sure that you don't need the information any more.

ACCESSING OTHER FEATURES ON YOUR DEVICE

Our applications may need access to certain features on your device such as Wi-Fi network status. This information is used to allow the applications to run on your device and allow you to interact with the applications. At any time you may revoke your permissions by turning these off at the device level or contacting us at privacy@dreame.tech.

To the extent that we may need to transfer personal information outside of your jurisdiction, whether to our affiliated companies or Third Party Service Providers, we shall do so in accordance with the applicable laws. Dreame Technology may use overseas facilities operated and controlled by Dreame Technology to process or back up your personal information. Currently, Dreame Technology has data centers in United States, Russia, India, Singapore and Germany. These overseas jurisdictions may or may not have in place data protection laws which are substantially similar to that in your home jurisdiction. We may transfer to and store your personal information at our overseas facilities. However, this does not change any of our commitments to safeguard your personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

MISCELLANEOUS

MINORS

We consider it the responsibility of parents to monitor their children's use of our products and services. Nevertheless, it is our policy not to require personal information from minors or offer to send any promotional materials to persons in that category.

Dreame Technology does not seek or intend to seek to receive any personal information from minors. ORDER OF PRECEDENCE

Methods of collection: Dreame Technology may collect your personal information directly from you by your entering the information through application and event participation. Dreame Technology may also collect your personal information from third-party service provider, or using generated information gathering tools.

Period of Retention and Use of Personal Information

Your personal information will be retained and used until the purpose of collecting and using has been achieved. If necessary under applicable law, it may also be retained for a period prescribed by law.

In principle, when the purposes of collection and use of your personal information are achieved, Dreame Technology will destroy the personal information without undue delay. You may at any time request to delete your personal information or withdraw your consent to the collection and use of your personal information by sending an e-mail to us. In such case, Dreame Technology will destroy your personal information in a timely manner. However, if any personal information is required to be retained under applicable law, such information will be retained for the period and purpose as prescribed by law.

Process and Method of Destruction of Personal Information

Personal information, which has fulfilled the purpose for which it was collected or used, and has reached the period of time during which personal information was to be possessed, will be destroyed in an irreversible way. After the expiration of the applicable period, information under the obligation of retention by applicable laws will be promptly destroyed in an irreversible way. Personal information stored in electronic files will be deleted safely in an irreversible way by using technical methods, and printed information will be destroyed by shredding or incinerating such information. Furthermore, in compliance with applicable laws, measures will be taken to destroy or separate the personal information of the users who have not used our services for a period of one year.
